Bio

Who is Lio?Lio is a traveling Eorzean that performs odd jobs from time to time to pay off debts and his rent. He spends a majority of time abroad, sending postcards, small trinkets as well as gil back to his roommate in the Sultana’s Breath. His primary means of making money is: Transportation. Goods, Arms, People, Artifacts, he does it all for the right coin and most importantly the right people. What is Lio’s Backstory?Bozja: A Place That Was Home
Lio is a Bozjan Rava who was taken into House Roselius as a Knight-In-Training. His job was to make sure Lord Roselius’ Daughter, Eliza would be safe and to be her companion. During the Garlean push into the Bozjan lands Lord Roselius would tell him to take Eliza and to run away from the Fort-town. During the chaos of escaping towns folk, a Garlean shelling would separate the two and throw Lio into the ocean to be swept away with the tides.
The Waves That Rock You To SleepNormally that’s where the story would end. But this Viera lad was lucky. He was picked up by a “Shipping Vessel” known as the HMS Starfall and its motley crew as they made their way back to Aldenard. Lio was rather sick from being at sea for Hydaelyn knows how long, so the less than savory crew, made a more than savory option and made land to rush the boy to Gridania. This small token of humanity granted Lio a second chance at Life.It Takes a VillageThis second chance at life was not wasted. He spent his days both running errands around Gridania for the crew as well as for the people of the town. “Could you take this letter?”, “Mind takin’ these boxes there yonder?”, “Mind fetching me a drink?”. All these small questions would lead to Lio’s first true transporting job: The Gridanian Delivery Boy. With his small job he would be able to show his commitment to speed, efficiency and most of all fun.The Farthest From the Shroud He’s Ever BeenFast Forward a few decades. Lio set his sights beyond the green of the Shroud and began taking jobs that would take him all over Aldenard:When the Dragonsong War was going on, the Machinist Guild and the Smiths of The Foundation required materials to craft Dragonslaying Weapons in the effort to defend the people. This event is when he learned to love Hot Cocoa so much. He had no idea that Coerthas would be so bone-chillingly cold.During the Gyr Abanian Invasion, memories of his home being invaded pushed him to assist them in whatever way he could. Joining the Eorzean Alliance as a Convoy and Transportation specialist, he led several supply groups across the Gyr Abanian front as well as transporting goods for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn to their efforts in Hingashi, Doma and The Steppe. When his efforts were needed he stepped forward as a Rear Guard for evacuating civilians from dangerous areas.Bozja: A Place That Is HomeSoon enough Lio would find himself jumping head first into the next Resistance Movement. It was time to go home. The Bozjan incident was Lio’s time to stop worrying about Gil, and to start worrying about the land of his people. Hand in hand with his flesh and blood he would charge the Bozjan Southern Front to take back the land that was his lady’s birthright. He would go as far as to emulate the Blades of Gunhildr and assume the Power of the Queen to claw back his homeland from the Garleans, one step at a time. When push came to shove, he chose not to fight in the Garlemald Event. He went to perform a similar role to what he had in the Gyr Abanian Event. He returned to Transport and Public Aide to the Alliance Forces, but most importantly to the Garleans. The innocents weren’t the ones that burned down his home.Through non-violent terms, he would perform interception and sabotage on the remaining Garlean Forces. Stealing their Ceruleum en masse for the Alliance at Camp Broken Glass to warm the forces and refugees waiting there. His attacks on the Loyalist Garleans, if you can call them that, stained his jacket in a glowing blue residue. When people would see him and his steed Xi, he would glow amongst the darkness of a winterscape: A glowing beacon. This is what would provide him the title of “Cobalt Star”.The Setting of the SunAfter all was said and done. He’d take himself back to Aldenard to find a life of normalcy. His life had been exciting up until that point, non-stop. He felt that he deserved a break. He now works odd jobs through the land, but his common contract is for that of a bar named, “The Marionette”.If someone needs him, they’ll come find him.

There is Sex

Intro - Soft KeysQuietly, in a small corner of Ul’dah, a piano played along to the silence of The Marionette. A tall slender figure was trapped behind the bar, serving drinks and cleaning glasses. It was a shit job, and the gil was never worth it… But the contacts always were.

Chapter 1 - The Return of The Cobalt StarA burly old man would look the Viera’s way. As he took a seat a few coins were slid over. He growled, “Beer, cold.”, to the tender. Without a second glance, the Viera kicked open the ice box and grabbed the bottle, handing it over to the Highlander.

The man stopped the bottle and popped the cap off with his bare thumb, “Didn’t think I’d find the Cobalt Star here in a dump like this.”With a smile and a nod the Viera looked to his next client, “Well someone who knows the Cobalt Star would know where to look wouldn’t they?” He walks to the Highlander and leans over the bar.
